HKIcon.png Med Kits are The Drifter's most common way of restoring lost health and curing wounds. They are found anywhere and everywhere, usually found in crates.

Each kit fully heals the player, taking approximately 1 second to fully heal 5 HP. By default, The Drifter can carry 3 Med Kits at any time. With the 2 upgrades, purchased from The Apothecary at their shop, the player may carry up to 5 Med Kits. This costs a total of 5 Gearbit packs, 2 for the first one then 3.

When the player tries to gather a health kit while carrying the maximum number of them, the kit will end up destroyed, or used if The Drifter has low HP.

Usage Time:

While a medkit heals quickly, it still has an activation time and a healing time. The activation time happens while the animation of the Drifter using the Medkit on himself is playing, during which the Drifter cannot move or attack. The healing time is the time it takes for the Drifter's injuries to heal, and for the missing pips in his health bar to tick back up. The Drifter cannot move or attack during this stage either. If Drifter is struck during either of these phases, the healing process is stopped at the stage it was at when the attack hit, and the Medkit is consumed. This is especially dangerous during activation, before any healing has begun. This is especially important during pitched combat scenarios with multiple foes or boss battles, where the volume of enemies attacking on screen means it is likely for the Drifter to be interrupted if they try to heal without first getting to safety.
